Kenneth Meade: He'll stick up for democratic republic, not team Trump

I’ve noticed that a number of individuals that wrote in during the previous administration about Joe Biden’s executive orders have been interestingly quiet during the ongoing rush of EOs from the current president.

But more importantly their silence, and in my opinion, acceptance, of him trying to overturn our Republic by attacking other, co-equal branches of government by pushing for impeachments of judges, or other similar attacks.

Or by attacking the law profession in total by going after specific lawyers and law firms that had accepted jobs that took on the previous Trump administration.

Or his attacks on certain businesses so they would acquiesce to his wishes.

Or Donald Trump sending people to be held in a foreign country without due process.

Or Trump "disappearing" individuals legally in the country because of some “issue” with their green card or visa. I say disappearing because relatives are not able to get the location of where these people are.

Or Trump attacking our veterans by taking away resources from our Veterans Affairs department.

Or going after Medicaid, Medicare and our Social Security.

Or Trump not understanding the value of soft power. Feed people for a few cents or send in military for many dollars.

Or Trump taking the side of Russia, North Korea and other authoritarian countries over our long term allies.

How do readers think Trump will take over Greenland or the Panama Canal if not through war?

Most of those that voted for Trump did not vote for the above. It was all about the economy.

Project 2025, anyone? Oh wait, he didn’t know anything about that and I have a bridge to sell.

To the writer saying we should join team Trump, hell no, I’ll stick up for our democratic republic.
