To The Daily Sun,

Dan Hamilton of Harwich, Massachusetts is misinformed, as the New Hampshire governor has not signed any law discouraging vaccination. He did sign a law as presented to him by our Legislature, a law that affirms our right to access public facility, benefit or service (ie supported by our taxes) regardless of vaccine status. It also specifically does not supersede the requirement for vaccination as a prerequisite for admission to a school or child care agency or any number of other statutes that were cited in House Bill 220, which can easily be accessed and read on the internet.

At the same time, our governor regularly implores the people of this state to protect ourselves and others by getting vaccinated. He successfully led the effort to make vaccination available to the citizens of NH was able to quickly ramp up access.

Hamilton has the right to choose whether or not to visit NH. I’m not sure why he thinks he has a right to tell NH to repeal any of its laws, given that he is not a resident of this state.
