U.S. gas prices falling due to drop in driving — not based on government action or inaction.

President Joe Biden and perhaps Sen. Maggie Hassan will undoubtedly try to take credit for the drop in gas prices (and may have already). The truth is they have nothing to do with it. Demand and driving in America have fallen to levels below summer 2020 when COVID restrictions were prevalent, per the U.S. Energy Information Administration report released this week: bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-08-03/oil-edges-higher-after-slump-as-traders-weigh-opec-hike-demand.
