To The Daily Sun,
New Hampshire has never been known for making things more complicated than they need to be. We value independence, common sense, and people who will roll up their sleeves and get the job done.
That’s why I support Cecil Abels for state senate in District 6.
Cecil understands that we can, and must, support strong public schools while also recognizing that property taxes cannot keep climbing forever. Families and seniors are feeling the squeeze. We need someone willing to clean up the mess created by the current Legislature and reject misguided schemes like education vouchers that pull resources away from our public schools rather than making them better.
He has made a point of spending time in the communities he hopes to represent. He asks questions. He hears people's concerns. And he doesn't pretend to have all the answers before he has listened to the people who actually live here.
No grandstanding. No political theater. Just a thoughtful, honest, down-to-Earth approach to the problems facing our communities. In my book, that's pretty good old-fashioned New Hampshire common sense. That’s the kind of senator I want representing District 6.
I encourage voters to join me in voting for Cecil Abels for District 6 NH Senate on Nov. 3.
