John Walker: Letter writer fears country is witnessing a fascist takeover

To The Daily Sun,

I hate being so noisy, but I don't apologize for it. Watching what is going on in Washington moves me to say SOMETHING!

I have been convinced for years that Donald Trump is an agent of Russia. I cannot fathom how he could be anything else. Putin has something on the guy that Trump does not want shared, and Putin controls him.

1. NATO: I get that pressure is needed to get those folks to stand up for themselves, and not just rely on USA dollars and military (and blood) to bail them out. To me, that is a Trump+.

2. Ukraine: The most mismanaged crisis our world has ever seen. Does Donald truly believe Ukraine started the war, and is willing to flush billions of support dollars down the drain? Trump-.

3. Does Trump truly believe Zelenskiy is a dictator, and started the war? Really? I know the president is not a drinker but he is on something. Trump-

4. Do we really need a king? Trump seems to think so. Not just a king of the USA, but Panama, Greenland, Gaza and New York City to boot. Trump-

5. Regarding the nation’s military … really? Fire them all? Trump – I fear our “ruler” truly misunderstands so many things. He is not well-educated, nor well-learned, but he is smarter than a fox.

None of this is a surprise folks. Project 2025 was out there, and who among us read it? (I did not)

I cannot help but fear that we are witnessing a fascist takeover of our lives, our country. It is happening before our very eyes … Remove any non-loyal members of our governing structure, demean the press, remove the military leaders. OMG, is this actually America?

Certainly not the country I served for 26 years. Stand up. Shout out. Do not stand for this.
