To The Daily Sun,
I have some thoughts about the way the COVID 19 pandemic is being handled. Apparently at the time of my writing we've had over 30,000 coronavirus deaths in the U.S. That's a pretty large sampling.
I've heard the president talk about hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin for COVID 19 treatment. I've heard what the media and some researchers call anecdotal evidence of its effectiveness in curing and preventing sickness from this virus. Okay. With over 30'000 deaths over 700,00 confirmed cases and nearly 60,000 people that have recovered. Some of these must have taken these drugs and many not. Shouldn't we be able to see some data now that would indicate how effective these and other drugs are? I know it wouldn't be a controlled study, but man, we are in an economy-killing shutdown. If many businesses go under there may not be jobs to go back to when this is over. Many need the jobs to support their families. We could be in a whole lot worse shape if this shutdown goes on.
I hate to think this for I'm sure many are merely myopic, but I have this nagging feeling in my gut that there are some who would let this go on longer than need be to tank the economy just to hurt President Trump's chances of winning re-election. That would be very very wicked indeed. But in case you haven't noticed there are some really wicked people out there. Tell me what you think. I am watching and praying. I know many are working with integrity to fight this virus, but you know the old adage, a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch.
