To The Daily Sun,
John Sununu must be very happy today as the New York Times recently had the lead opinion story about his candidacy.
I’m afraid if readers read the story, as New Hampshire residents, it seems it has to be asked: why? As he readily admits, he has been out of national politics for 18 years. A long, long time. But more importantly, it appears he has been out of NH politics the same amount of time.
In 2008, running for the senate, he threw out all sorts of ideas to work for the state, and improve things for NH citizens. When that job disappeared, so did John. Off he went to make his fortune in Washington, D.C. and Boston. Can anyone inform me what he did currently for NH healthcare, education, and jobs? (It should be noted the minimum wage in NH is $7.25 per hour. The rest of the New England states is approximately $15. Thanks, Republican legislators and governors for not caring about constituents).
And don’t tell me he has remained a resident of the state for all those years other than as we live in tax free NH and I’m sure has saved him thousands of tax dollars. Bottom line? We don’t need old politicians looking for a place to retire to.
It’s time for change. Let’s vote for the NH politician who has been here fighting for us over the current years: Chris Pappas.
