To The Daily Sun,

George Mottram is a neighbor of mine. We've known each other for some years, mainly in town issues and petitions. He is the best person I know, for getting signatures on petitions for warrant articles for Town Meeting.

George's political platform is: no new taxes or income tax, or sales tax; lower property taxes; cut spending; Right to Work; parental rights; defend the Constitution of the United States and NH; vote to end abortion.

None of us has to agree, nor disagree with anyone, regarding anything, politician or just someone. Even our form of government, a republic, allows our system to be a democracy, at certain times of the year; nationally, statewide, and local.

George has been know to make his opinion known, at town meetings, and otherwise. Others, also, have taken a stance at town meetings (who me?) on certain issues. No one has to agree, but if the thought process for individuals kicks-in, then maybe, the efforts are worthwhile, no matter the outcome of a vote.

Here's what Citizens Count says on their website about George (citizenscount.org/candidate/george-mottram):

  • George Mottram experience: Retired general construction/builder with 25 employees
  • Education:BS Business; MBA, Southern New Hampshire University; Certificates in project management from Villanova University

Each election year Citizens Count sends an issue survey to every candidate for state and federal office in New Hampshire. This website also has his history of position on issues. I counted about 30-35 different topics enumerated at this same website.

If readers are looking to vote for someone that rides the wave, or just says what will gets votes … that's not George. If they prefer someone who speaks and thinks, his or her own mind … that's George.

People can agree or disagree and still have intelligent discourse.
