To The Daily Sun,
As vice chair of the Gunstock Area Commission, I would like to formally recognize and express my appreciation for the patient and supportive passholders, customers and staff of Gunstock Mountain Resort. It is no secret that vacation weeks and holidays bring a special set of joys and challenges to the committed employees of Gunstock. Furthermore, in light of the recent weather, hats off to the first responders and those who service the roadways that we share with the influx of visitors. In light of the situation that was reported by The Laconia Daily Sun on Feb. 18, I have once again witnessed composure, grit and resolve to provide the best possible guest experience in spite of the unforeseen circumstances. Very few people have knowledge of what it really takes to contribute to a successful season under the conditions that the unsung heroes are faced with. Although my sentiment will not reach the front page as the recent article did, I commend the people in this community both on and off mountain who make Gunstock a safe and popular destination.
