Jack Schaffnit: Karin Salome has dedicated her life to caring for others' needs

With Election Day fast approaching, I would urge the voters of Ward 3, Laconia, to consider voting for Karin Salome as their school board  representative.

Caring and volunteering have always been a strong core of Karin’s life. She has recently retired after 48 years of devoting her adult life to caring for the needs of others while working as a nurse in the health care profession. As a longtime resident, whose children graduated from Laconia schools, she

understands the community and its varying needs. Serving on the board will allow her to continue her committed service to the city of Laconia.

Karin strongly believes that schools and the education they provide are the backbone of a community. As your representative, she would work well with others — parents, teachers, district staff and local officials — to help create

stronger ties between the school board and residence, and ultimately, help achieve success for all of the district’s students.
