A regular letter writer recently claimed that the FBI doesn’t investigate Democrats. In fact, that claim is completely false, as many Democrats are under investigation or indictment, or in trial.
Hunter Biden is the most obvious example. He is currently under trial in Delaware after the Justice Department refused his suggested plea deal. Yes, we are talking about the Justice Department under Joe Biden, father of the defendant. Can anyone imagine a Donald Trump son being prosecuted under a Trump administration?
Sen. Bob Menendez, as in Democratic Sen. Menendez, of New Jersey, is currently on trial for bribery in a federal court across the street from convicted felon Trump’s courthouse.
In Texas, federal prosecutors have brought bribery and corruption charges against Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar.
Democratic Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri, is currently under federal investigation for improper use of campaign funds.
Former Democratic Rep. T.J. Cox of California, is currently awaiting trial for Fraudulent campaign contributions.
That list is but a sampling of current investigations and prosecutions against Democrats.
The GOP party that used to claim the “law and order” mantle no longer even pretends to care about the rule of law. And the letter writer who made the false claims about the FBI is no exception.
No one, regardless of status or party affiliation, is above the law, including a former president and the son of a sitting president. Unfortunately, only one party believes that principle and abides by it. The current leader of the GOP openly expresses contempt for the justice system and promises to completely abandon the rule of law if he gets reelected.

The primary difference between investigations and legal actions against members of the Democratic Party versus Republicans is that the Democratic party doesn’t rally around members and proclaim their innocence before the legal process even begins.
Members of the Democratic Party have no objection to allowing the legal process to carry out and have no problem calling for justice or resignations when fellow party members break the law.
