I'm writing to respond to Bruce Jenket's letter of June 11, where he states that America defeated the Nazis during Adolf Hitler's regime. There's more to the story than most think. After World War II, hundreds of Nazi scientists were secreted into the U.S. through "Operation Paperclip," ostensibly to give us an edge up on their tech to help us in the Cold War. When the Nazis got here the CIA was formed to give them a base to operate from and Nazi experimentation on military and civilian subjects ensued. In the 1970s Ted Kennedy called for congressional hearings based on victim complaints. Other hearings were held by the Church Committee and the the Rockefeller Commission. After victim complaints were validated the CIA was told to stop. They found ways to continue the experimentation with remote technology to make it undetectable by observation. This new phase is the "targeted individual" program, which continues to this day involving the FBI, DHS and military branches.
