To The Daily Sun,
As the General Election approaches, the choice for who represents Laconia in the New Hampshire House of Representatives is clear. We need problem solvers who focus on local results, not partisan gridlock, which is why I'm voting for Mike Bordes for Belknap County District 5.
Mike Bordes has a track record of delivering for Laconia. Now in his third term in the Statehouse ― he also serves as Laconia's mayor ― he understands exactly how policies in Concord impact our community. His legislative approach has consistently favored bipartisan cooperation and public safety. He has stood firmly behind our local law enforcement and first responders, and earned endorsements from the New Hampshire Police Association, Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire, New Hampshire AFL-CIO, and SEA/SEIU Local 1984.
On finances, Bordes defends everyday taxpayers. He opposes broad-based income and sales taxes, and fights for deregulation and business tax cuts to boost local growth. And his focus on Laconia is clear, he's backed initiatives like the State School property development, which is projected to generate roughly $3.8 million in annual net tax revenue and address our housing shortages.
Mike Bordes values transparency, public safety, and fiscal responsibility over strict party loyalty. On Nov. 3, let’s keep an independent, effective voice working for Laconia by reelecting Mike Bordes to the Statehouse.
