Gregg Hough: Thanks to candidates for volunteering to work for Laconians

To The Daily Sun,

I would like to take this time the thank each and every person who made the hard decision to run for public office here in our city by the lakes. There is nothing more noble or worthy than stepping up and volunteering to give one’s time and energy in service to our neighbors.

There are some fine candidates, and I urge folks to take the time to explore what each one brings to the table. Laconia is fortunate to have people who are passionate about our city and who are dedicated to seeing Laconia improve for all who live, work, go to school, and enjoy our way of life.

To all I give a tip of the hat and my sincere wish of best of luck to all running for mayor, city council, and school board. There are many other positions up for grabs as well.

Don’t forget there is a primary this year for several races as more than two candidates vie for the same office. Tuesday, Sept. 14 is the day. Please mark it down and make it a priority to vote for the future of our city.
