To The Daily Sun,

As a Belmont property owner, I attended the Citizens for Belknap candidate forum — a lovely opportunity for residents to write down their concerns to be answered among the panel, and I have to admit — I left disappointed that only three candidates showed up. All three were Democrats: Liz Charlwood for District 4, and Don House and Don Guigere for District 8.

But I also left genuinely impressed and inspired by one candidate in particular.

It was my first time hearing Don House speak, and I was struck by his intelligence, advocacy, and leadership. His answers were thoughtful, informed, practical, and — most importantly — rooted in what I believe public service should be: being proactive, ethical, and responsive to the people represented.

Don didn’t just answer questions. He demonstrated that he understands the issues facing our communities and, more importantly, that he is prepared to do the work.

As a Belmont resident and property owner, I want representatives who will show up, listen, think critically, advocate for us, and lead with integrity.

After hearing Don House, he has absolutely earned my respect — and my vote and support.
