Shortly before our recent primary election, Gov. Chris Sununu endorsed Chuck Morse as the Republican candidate for U.S. senator. The primary reason was that, while Don Bolduc was a fine candidate, he thought Morse had a better chance of defeating Maggie Hassan in the general election.
Apparently, Hassan's camp agreed. A super-PAC controlled by the Democratic Party donated millions of out-of-state dollars to Bolduc’s campaign, hoping to put a weaker opponent against Hassan. (I will guess that Hassan knew).
Well, it worked. Bolduc won the primary, and is now the Republican candidate for U.S. senator.
Some will say that “Oh, this is just politics.” Others will say that this is dishonest, out-of-state meddling, and a corruption of the democratic process.
So now we have our choice. Maggie or Don. Where are you?
