Don Ewing: Certain writers need to learn more reality, less propaganda

Thomas Stankosky’s July 28 letter attacks me and continues with unsubstantiated nonsense.

Stankosky claims that Nazi punishment/elimination of communists indicates these aren’t both Marxist ideologies. That’s just wrong (tinyurl.com/yt2jbmzz). The Nazis destroyed the communists because they threatened Nazi control; dictators eliminate threats.

Why does Stankosky object to calling people socialists and communists when that’s what they call themselves? Wikipedia lists self-identified socialists (tinyurl.com/3h4aj3f9). Obviously Democratic Socialists are socialists. Marxists who promote the main communist feature, elimination of private property, are “communists."

Stankosky provides no evidence of Donald Trump suppressing our free press; his claim is false.

Why is “fake news” an inappropriate name for endlessly repeated “news” for which there is no or often contrary evidence?

For years we’ve seen violent antifa rioters injure innocent people and cause billions in property damage. Just because Democrat jurisdictions don’t prosecute them, and apparently consider them allies, doesn’t mean they aren’t terrorists. Recently nine Antifa terrorists were convicted (tinyurl.com/2h9x5w37).

DEI isn’t a hallmark of American democracy, it’s a recent (1980s?) program created to help people trying to replace our constitutional republic with an Islamic theocracy or a Marxist dictatorship, both would eliminate our God-given rights. Word limits prevent a full DEI discussion. DEI is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Now-wealthy countries receiving foreign aid/benefits (welfare) resent it when Trump cuts it off. That welfare was funded at the expense of working Americans whose jobs were shipped overseas causing devastation that most politicians, before Trump, ignored. Trump is rebuilding our economy with good jobs for American workers.

Stankosky’s right, people and countries wanting undeserved welfare, to invade our allies, and to eliminate our freedoms and prosperity hate Trump, he stops them.

Stankosky needs to learn more reality, less propaganda.
