To The Daily Sun,

This writer called her two senators tonight (Jan. 14), Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen, to thank them about supporting the continuing resolution to stop further escalation of the aggression on the sovereign nation of Venezuela. She also contacted Chris Pappas' office.

This writer encouraged her legislators to continue to use their influence and keep America on the right side of history, to not squander our treasure of service men and women and taxpayer money to meddle and micromanage the world. This writer believes New Hampshire has not only a drug problem but an alcohol problem that takes its toll in lives on our highways, as well as the general health of alcohol users. Perhaps our president has a misguided approach to the war on drugs and has set it up as a straw man to distract our citizens from other subjects for which he fears the truth coming out.

This writer encourages all citizens to exercise their right to communicate their preferences to their elected representatives. This is crucial not only on the national front but locally and for our state government, because after all we are a democratic republic.
