David F. Brochu: It's not an immigration problem, it's catch & release

We do not have an immigration problem, we have a catch and release problem.

The question is why?

If we truly wish to have controlled, humane, legal immigration that benefits all it is actually quite easy.

Sufficient border agents and technology to ensure no one enters illegally. If we can monitor Mars for signs of life we can probably handle this. Sufficient magistrate to adjudicate asylum claims in 24 hours, the major cities night courts can handle it, I’m sure ICE can to.

Those attempting to enter who do not receive asylum can never return. Legal immigration continues as normal.

Those entering are directed to a multi-year work for citizenship program paid for and administered by U.S. corporation who desperately need entry level help.

We know who gets in. We know why they’re here and where they are. As for “rounding up” all the illegals in this country. Who do you think knows where the illegal immigrants are? Local police. If people are breaking the law, the police are the one’s best trained and they live in the communities. Safer, more efficient and more humane.

If it can be solved, why hasn’t it been. Ah “Cui Bono,” who benefits from the current situation?

The list is too long for the allocated words; political parities, corporate America, farmers, human traffickers and everyone who eats cheap produce.

Any nation can enforce its laws. A great nation does so without losing its soul.
