To The Daily Sun,
This is the wording from a postcard I mailed to Ward 2 in Franklin. I am currently on the school board representing Ward 2. I have a simple platform. The students must be able to:
• Read at grade level
• Compute at grade level
• Write at grade level
• Understand what it means to be a citizen
Currently they are far from this. Well over half of the students do not meet grade level requirements and the system is rigged against them. The district is not focused on academics and instead is pushing an agenda of social emotional learning and similar bogus topics. They continually use the excuse that parents are too poor, too uneducated, too socially inept to prepare children for school. I refuse to believe this. Prove them wrong. Elect me as I attempt to turn this around.
Vote Oct. 4 for Ward 2 at our City Hall, 316 Central Street. Call me at 603-320-9524 or dave@sanbornhall.net and we can have coffee and talk.
