Can't we all just lay down our tomahawks for awhile?

It's so much fun trolling for trouble on the internet comments section, kind of like dragging a lure across a pond. You're bound to get a few strikes, usually the same tired old fish every day. So predictably, another largemouth has taken the bait.

Mr. Mark Weinreb wrote a very moving letter entitled "online comment shows how inhumane this anti- Semite is," calling out a white nationalist writer for his bigotry against the Jewish Synagogue in Pennsylvania. My comment was that, "There are plenty of bigots who spread their hate in this newspaper. They are all vile and offensive, but it depends on who is the subject of their attacks whether they get called out on it or not. Most of them are very proud of their bigotry and I see very little difference between them and (the white nationalist)."

James V. says he resembles that remark, and spews yet another smear-filled diatribe in Friday's paper, proving me to be correct about that.

The other thing Mr. V is flipped out about concerns the dustup between President Trump and French president Macron over unrestricted cross-border migration. My comment was that Macron was trying to justify the failed European experiment in globalism as they are being over run by African Muslim immigrants and the native people of those countries want it to stop. According to Mr. V, all of those white Christian citizens are just heartless racist bigots for wanting to keep them out. And of course I, too, am a heartless racist for feeling that way.

Any one who knows me is aware that as a 99.9 percent white guy, I am a racial minority in my own family as my wonderful bride of 35 years is 100 per cent Filipino and our kids are 50/50. I am especially proud of my 0.1 percent Native American heritage, because my grandfather told me we had an Abenaki ancestor in the colonial days who's name meant "Eagle Sitting On a Rock With His Tail Hanging Over The Edge." I know Grampa would never lie about something like that.

But never mind my opinion. Would you listen to former Secretary of State and all-time smartest woman in the world Hillary Clinton? The Washington Examiner quotes her telling European leaders they must limit such migration because it is driving right wing populism. "Europe must get a handle on it because that is what lit the flame".

President Trump ran on a platform of immigration reform and the longer it remains an issue the stronger he we be. Now he is willing to seal the entire border with Mexico and use deadly force if necessary if that's what it takes, to regain control of the situation down there. Thank You Mr. President for trying to protect America and our people.

Notice that I have not had to use any smears or dirty names against anyone to make my arguments against the nasty attack against me. Now that the bloody elections are over, can't we all just lay down our tomahawks for a while and enjoy the holiday season in peace? There will be plenty of time to resume the scalping parties next year. Merry Christmas to all!
