Bev Buker: Sorry I'm not politically correct but I was born in different era

To The Daily Sun,

Stupidity seems to be the normal we are going to have to put up with now. Tear down the historical statues? It's too much in historical past that the uneducated people to deal with and once the statue is down, let's kick it. Where did they find that stupid person?

And out of left field comes another wanting to change the name Tahoe because the last part of the word is offensive to them. Next thing will be telling Santa he cant say HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS because someone will think he is calling for. When will someone stand up and say enough is enough?

Change pancake brand because it is racist? Even the black people are against that one. And Quaker Oats? What are the Quakers going to be called? For those of you that don't know, Quakers is a religion.

As for local stuff, you better get local taxpaying people from Laconia stickers for their cars so they get priority at Weirs Beach instead of Massachusetts people. I apologize for not checking if you get stickers but Laconia could offer stickers to out-of-starters for a hefty sum because they are the ones dirtying up the beach in the first place.

I apologize if I wasn't politically correct in my wording of this letter but I was born in a time that was full of regular, happy folks. In the meantime I pray for your safety and health, and please take care with your elderly neighbors
