Ann Cathcart: Voting Marcia Hayward for Belknap District 5 on Nov. 3

To The Daily Sun,

Marcia Hayward is a lifelong resident of Laconia. She is a graduate of Laconia High School. She spent her extensive career educating our youth as a teacher and a principal. After retirement, she gave back to our community as an adjunct professor at the college level. Additionally, she has volunteered in our community throughout her entire career, helping to make Laconia a better place to live.

She is running to:

• Fix our education system, to provide property tax relief by having the state assume a higher cost for K-12 public education
• Increase revenue for services: Health and Human Services faces a $50 million reduction over the next two years, affecting Medicaid, mental health and SNAP benefits
• Improve funding for NH university systems that are facing millions in funding reductions

If elected, Hayward promises to listen to all her constituents and represent her entire community with effective communication.

Education is her focus, and the entire well-being of our state will be her mission. With a dedicated leader like Marcia Hayward, we would be lucky to have her representing us in Concord.
