To The Daily Sun,

After years of engineering and planning, Plymouth is replacing all of its downtown/Main Street storm drains and gray water piping to be able to separate storm water from gray water for a more environmentally conscious process. Granese & Sons is the contractor that "moved in" to town in May. Our community was worried about a summer of construction on Main Street upsetting our local businesses, economy, parking and downtown vitality.

However, nothing could be further from the truth. Granese & Sons have been organized, thoughtful, efficient, well-staffed and mindful of the impact the project is having. They have extra staff at all active areas ensuring smooth traffic flow, minimal disruptions to the water system, and incredible attention to cleaning up the job sites each afternoon. I for one am grateful and think we can give a big shout-out to the crews. If you go to downtown Plymouth maybe give them a nice wave and check out their great work. This project has been a long time coming. It was needed for a very old and tired system, and we were all nervous about how bad the impact would be on business. We are very appreciative of the contractor and our town for making this work. Thank you, Plymouth and Granese.
