Our staff at Laconia Area Center Community Action Program is gearing up to take applications for fuel and electric assistance this season. We are reaching out to all of our community members in the towns of Belmont, Alton, Laconia, Gilford, Barnstead and Gilmanton to encourage people to come in and apply for fuel and/or electric assistance. Our programs are available to community members who work, are retired, own, rent, have seniors or young children in the household or anyone who feels they may need assistance with the cost of heating for the winter. We would be happy to meet with you and see if we can assist with the cost of staying warm this winter. We would like to extend an invitation to come visit us and see if we can assist you with fuel assistance and electric assistance. Give us a call at 524-5512 and we would be happy to set up an appointment for you.

We would like to thank all of the local community members, churches and businesses that have supported us this year with our food pantry. Your donations are greatly appreciated and help us to assist many community members to have healthy and hot meals.

A special thank you to the Laconia Rod and Gun Club for a very generous donation that allows us to assist seniors in the Belknap area who face a heating emergency! We are looking forward to participating in their upcoming Santa Jam and Meat Bingo this year!

We would also like to give a special thank you to the Congregational Church, Unitarian Church and Good Shepherd Church, who are always there to provide us with very necessary resources for our food pantry. The generosity of organizations like these makes it possible for us to assist hundreds of community members.
