To the editor,

The 4th Annual Sweetheart Auction will be held on Tuesday, February 7 at Patrick's Pub & Eatery in Gilford to benefit UpStream, a Lakes Region United Way program. Hundreds of wonderful items have been generously donated by area merchants and citizens. Click on www.lruw.org to preview a partial list of auction items.

For those unable to attend the auction, LRUW is also offering the opportunity to pre-bid on select items via phone at 524-6864 x100 or email to debbie@lruw.org. Items available for pre-bid include a $1,000 certificate for products and services at Abundant Life in Chichester, $1,000 in advertising in any Salmon Press newspaper, a vacation getaway for 4 at your choice of 3 locations from InnSeasons Resort, 2 lawn season passes for Meadowbrook, a one year membership to Laconia Athletic & Swim Club, a Volkl snowboard, a Lane cherry cedar chest from Ippolito's, a one-person Old Town Otter kayak from Irwin Marine, a 3 credit college course from NH Community Technical College, advertising from The Citizen, and a full page advertisement from the Laconia Daily Sun.

Pre-bidding will close on February 6 at noon. The live auction begins on February 7 at 6 p.m. P.K. Zyla will start bidding on these select items with the highest pre-bid. If no further bids are placed at the auction, the

highest bidder will be notified via email or phone on February 8. Further information is posted on our website.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Patrick's Pub, P.K. Zyla, the community and volunteers for their generous support of our annual auction. Without this support, the auction would not be possible. Proceeds of this year's auction will benefit UpStream's programs for parenting education, professional development and our communications network.
