To the editor,
One of the most regrettable lessons NOT learned by the American left since the attack of 9/11 is the simple fact that the world has changed. We are involved in a world-wide war with Islamo-fascism. Doug Lambert's column on the misconduct by American soldiers at the Iraqi prison was just what he reported: misconduct. The left, and the American liberal press are trying to turn misconduct into atrocity.....there is no moral equivalence between the two. What America is facing is a prolonged war from the Middle-East to the Philippines. From the Cone of South America to the very streets and homes of the United States.
The only way to win such a war against such a vicious enemy is to wage total, merciless, combat until we prevail. It is said the Islamo-fascists have the will, but not the means to defeat us. It is said the West has the means, but not the will to defeat them......between the lines of these intersecting strengths and weaknesses our future will be resolved.
After reading the letters to the editor condemning Mr. Lambert for reporting the difference between misconduct and atrocities I know which side the American left is on.
