To the editor,

In Ward 4, long-neglected enforcement of commercial sign ordinances are on-going. Anger and confusion has resulted.

First of all, we need to separate the messengers (Dawn and Stephanie in planning and code-enforcement) from the message. Although I rarely make personal visits to that department, I have cordial relations with both Dawn and Stephanie. I myself could not make proper sense of the codes without their expertise.

I also will be at meetings with aggrieved parties to reach acceptable compromises. Please be patient.
