To The Daily Sun,

I was reading in another local paper about the Rotarians of Meredith cleaning up the waters of Meredith. I say hats off to all of you and your town for the care and respect you have for your environment. I wonder if Gilford does this? If not may I volunteer with you and yours? I can't drive a boat, but I sure do love this lake and wish to see it last for many more generations to enjoy.

As for all the veterans out there, I found this quote from Harry S. Truman: "Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices." From a granddaughter of a WWII vet and Peleliu survivor — and a daughter of a Vietnam vet survivor — thank you and God bless you all.
