To the editor,

I am referring to the blatant attack mailer received recently from the N.H. Democratic State Committee. It is a pure fright missile aimed at N.H. seniors such as myself. It emphatically states that Jim Forsythe WILL eliminate Social Security, Medicare and The Department of Health and Human Services. One whole side shows our nest eggs going down somewhere, probably into the Democratic coffers to distribute to anyone that can be thus persuaded to vote for their guy. This side sports a large red headline "SENIORS BEWARE". I can only hope the most of us will see this mailer for what it is, a desperate attempt to frighten them away from this candidate, Jim Forsythe.

I am very curious about how a N.H. State Senator can wield such power to eliminate these huge federal programs. Perhaps some knowledgeable Democrat can explain this. While they are in this fantasy land, perhaps they can enlighten us on how the state budget was balanced, and even has a seventy million dollar surplus. Wow, talk about creative accounting. As just a small example, have you all noticed the increased fees for auto and boat registrations. This boat fee increase was explained as needed to complete more access ramps across the state. The legislature then turned around and raided this fund for $500,000 dollars. They also raided the highway fund for $350,000 dollars and took $100,000 dollars from the motorcycle rider training fund. Their attempts to raid the Joint Underwriters Fund are well publicized and ongoing right in the face of our Supreme Court decision against this. These raids were voted for right down party lines and that, folks, is where we are today.

It is now up to the voters to either approve of this travesty or restore some sense of reality and respect for the N.H. Constitution on election day. Remember that every vote counts . Don't rely on the other guy to do it for you.
