To the editor,

I have read yet another letter from Ms. Chong that has inspired me towrite again. This time it is regards to Cindy Sheehan and her "cause", but before we hand out any more attention to her I feel it is necessary to give the rest of the facts. In the mid seventies she gave a TV interview in which she said that this country was not worth dying for, which I saw on CNN over the weekend. This tells me that her son was listening to this all of his life and in spite of this he volunteered to enlist into theMarine corp.

I have the utmost respect for all men and women in uniform, and my deepest sympathy to the families of the fallen. Having been in the military myself, I was well aware of the consequences of my enlistment as washer son.So he obviously disagreed with his mother that this country is indeed worth dying for.I was in the first gulf war and I was prepared to give my life in my country's defenseas well. She should think twice about diminishing the memory of this fallen hero.

In addition to this Ms. Sheehan already had audience with the President. She said this on interviewscarried by all of the major news networks, but now she "has more to say."PresidentBush does not need to meet with her again, he already knows what she is going to say, as do we all.

What disturbs me more is the media in this country portraying our soldiers as victims over in Iraq as targets and no mention of the heroism that occurs every day. Just lastweek I saw a story on the internet regarding aMarine whose patrol came under attack. At one point a grenade was thrown at the group. This marine dove onto the grenade to save the lives of his friends but at the cost of his own. Why must we only hear the negative side of every news story? But the media have their own agenda.
