To the editor,

Wonderful article about Mr. Norman Dionne’s experience and visit to the WW2 National Memorial with Honor Flight New England. There have been five such flights involving 107 Veterans. One Veteran lost his sight while serving his country and there was one bilateral leg amputee. The youngest was 80 and the oldest was 94. Six were females and there have been four sets of brothers. A husband and wife who both served in WW2. Sixteen were Prisoners Of War. One was a Marine who served in WW2, Korea and Vietnam. It's a true Honor Program.

A way to actually Thank A Veteran could be a donation to the program to help continue. The Veteran fly’s free while the guardians pay their own way. The Korean Memorial, Vietnam Wall are also part of the experience but the focus is those WW2 ladies and gentleman we often refer to as part of the Greatest Generation.

Write Honorflightnewenglang@gmail.com for more information and send a Thanksgiving donation to Honor Flight New England, PO Box 16287, Hooksett, NH 03106.
