CONWAY — Former Kennett High School chorus and performing arts teacher Holly Fougere has been indicted on seven counts of forgery by a Carroll County Superior Court grand jury.
On Feb. 5, Conway police arrested Fougere, 43, of Conway on seven felony counts of forgery and one count of theft. Fougere resigned Jan. 30. The grand jury returned its indictments against Fougere on April 18. An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed and is a step before trial.
Each of the forgery indictments is charged as a Class B felony which carries a possible prison sentence of 3½ to seven years in prison. The indictments were signed by Deputy Carroll County Attorney Kim Tessari.
One forgery charge alleges that on Dec. 26, 2023, Fougere altered a check in the amount of $200 from OVP Management (Settlers Green) to Kennett Music into her own bank account.
Other forgery charge allege that:

- On Nov. 21, 2023, Fougere altered a check for $200 from Mountain Top Music to the Kennett HS performing arts department by making herself the intended payee.
- On Oct. 27, 2023, she altered a check for $100 from Leah Kelsch to KHS Arts by making herself the intended payee.
- On May 2, 2023, she altered a check for $203 from Kristen Barbin to KHS Arts by making herself the payee.
- On Sept. 18, 2023, she altered a check in the amount of $25 from John Colbath to KHS Dance Team by making herself the payee.
- On Sept. 18, 2023, she altered a check for $150 from North Conway Community Center to make herself the payee.
- Fougere altered a check in the amount of $200 from Big Dave’s Bagels to KHS Performing Arts by making herself the payee.
One of her attorneys, Tony Sculimbrene, released a statement to the Sun maintaining her innocence.Fougere is also represented by Leslie Gill. Both attorneys are from Gill & Sculimbrene in Nashua.
Fougere is scheduled to have an arraignment and bail hearing May 13 at 9 a.m. in Carroll County Superior Court.
