Volunteers handed out Thanksgiving meal boxes to people in need them at St. Vincent de Paul food pantry in Laconia on Monday afternoon. Nearly 800 boxes were distributed, in addition to some single turkeys, feeding around 4,000 people in the Lakes Region. Volunteers held two pickup days, Nov. 23 and Nov. 25. Saturday was busier day, accounting for more than two-thirds of their entire count, with traffic backed up on Union Avenue all the way down to Stark Street.
