Slow race winner Guy St. Cyr poses with his $100 prize and Burrito Me co-owner Reuben Bassett after the competition at the historic train station in downtown Laconia on Thursday. "I missed three years due to the COVID," said St. Cyr, of Quebec. "I love your country." Cyr has attended Laconia Motorcycle Week for nearly 30 years. He's also been to Daytona Bike Week, Fire and Ice in New Mexico and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. When about his favorite location, St. Cyr said, "Right here, because it is so close to my house. It's only 240 miles from where I live, so it's five hours and I'm here. It's such a beautiful area to ride around the lakes." The race took place during the custom bike show. The prize was provided by The Haymond Law Firm. Riders are tasked with going down a small track as slowly as possible. The last one across the finish line wins. Riders are eliminated by touching their feet to the ground or going outside the lanes. (Jon Decker/The Laconia Daily Sun photos)
