GILFORD — Police yesterday arrested a Tilton man on an outstanding warrant for criminal mischief after responding to a remote area behind Camp Winsheblo on Liberty Hill for a report of gunshots.
Sgt. Corey O'Connor said the department used the military surplus Humvee that was donated to the town to access the remote site.
O'Connor said police found four men shooting at targets. One man, Ryan Kenney, 35, of 251 Main St. Apt. 4 had an outstanding warrant and was taken to the Gilford Police Station where he was processed and released on personal recognizance bail.
O'Connor said police get numerous reports of gunfire in the area and are looking into posting the part of the area that is town property.
