It’s been six years since Halloween took place on a Saturday, and costumed Lakes Region residents of all ages will be pounding the leaf-strewn pavement in search of good-hearted revelry and candy.

The skies will be mostly sunny and a balmy 54 degrees in the Lakes Region as goblins and ghouls descend on the area.

All Lakes Region communities will host their official celebrations on Saturday, Oct. 31.

But as always, remember safety first.

“Drivers are asked to take extra care in neighborhoods during these hours, and trick-or-treaters should stay on sidewalks, carry a flashlight or wear reflective gear, and cross streets at crosswalks,” Franklin leaders wrote on the city's website.
