GILFORD — The filing period for town offices opens on Jan. 24 and continues through the end of the day on Feb. 2.
Open positions include a three-year selectman’s seat; three three-year terms and one two-year term on the Gilford Budget Committee; moderator for two years; supervisor of the checklist for six years; trustee of trust funds for three years; two library trustees for three years; cemetery trustee for three years; and fire engineer for three years.
To file as a candidate, residents must be registered voters in Gilford. Hours for filing with the town clerk are Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. On the last day for filing, Friday, Feb. 2, the hours are extended to 5 p.m.
