GILFORD — The filing period for town offices opens next Wednesday, Jan. 23, and runs through the end of the day Friday, Feb. 1.
In Gilford, open positions include selectman for three years (the position currently held by Gus Benavides); trustee of trust funds for three years (William Chris Ray Jr.); two library trustees for three years (Mike Marshall and Alexis R. Jackson); cemetery trustee for three years (William Day); three the budget committee members for three years (Timothy Sullivan, S. Peter Karagianis, and Sean Murphy); and fire engineer (John "Jack" T. Lyman).
Those filing must be registered voters in Gilford.
The hours for filing with Town Clerk Denise Gonyer are Monday - Wednesday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Thursday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Friday, Oct. 1, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
