After an investigation conducted by detectives over the past three months, police last week arrested Vincent Bitetto, Jr., 21, formerly of 20 Caveney Drive, Northfield on charges of selling, possessing and transporting narcotic drugs, specifically cocaine and oxycontin.
Detective Nathan Buffington said that the investigation made use of confidential informants and included two controlled purchases of illicit drugs, one for cocaine and another for oxycontin. He said that Bitetto, who was free on bail for possession of a controlled drug and other charges filed by Tilton, Northfield and Franklin police, was found in possession of oxycontin when he was arrested near the Tilton House of Pizza on Main Street Friday night.
Bitetto, who police believe recently moved to Laconia, was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Franklin District Court on September 21.
