Police arrested a Northfield man wanted on an outstanding warrant for a parole violation for resisting arrest early Friday morning.
Joshua Cheney, 24, of 520 Shaker Road , was seen by Officer Corey O'Connor at Oriental Gardens restaurant around 12:30 a.m. When O'Connor sought to arrest Cheney outside the lounge, he began to run away. After a struggle, O'Connor, assisted by Officer Daniel O'Neill, captured Cheney, who was subdued with pepper spray.
Cheney was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital where he was treated for a leg injury before being released to the custody of the New Hampshire Department of corrections. Cheney was bailed on the charge of resisting arrest.
