Elwin Weeks, 20, of 356 Laconia Road, Belmont, was arrested Tuesday night when he was found at Laconia High School clad in body armor, carrying pepper spray and armed with a folding knife.
Police were called to the school where a suspicious person was reported. Officers Richard Simmons, Donald Kimtis and Al Lessard found Weeks, who was not attending classes at the school or authorized to be inside it. Weeks was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass. Police subsequently charged him with stalking after learning that his former girlfriend had an outstanding restraining order against him.
Shortly after Weeks was arrested Ryannan Baron, 18, of Route 106, Belmont, his former girlfriend, came to the police station, where she became embroiled in an argument with others in the lobby. Several officers sought to end the confrontation. When Baron repeatedly refused to obey their orders, she was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
