CANTERBURY — A Milford driver is being charged with felony reckless driving, after a high-speed chase that ended in Canterbury on Friday morning.

State troopers from the Troop D barracks attempted to stop a white 2021 Toyota RAV4 driving northbound on Interstate 93, observing reckless driving and driving without taillights, just after midnight on Nov. 14.

State Police troopers turned on their lights and sirens, but the driver, later identified as Tyler Neumann, 18, refused to stop, and kept going at speeds greater than 115 mph. Neumann was weaving in and out of the northbound lane, crossing over the lines of both shoulders, nearly colliding with several other vehicles, according to State Police.

Troopers chased the SUV north into Canterbury.

Just before mile marker 48.8 on I-93, Neumann nearly drove off the road before regaining control, pulled into the right-side breakdown lane, and stopped, where he was then taken into custody.

Troopers determined impairment by alcohol or drugs was not a factor during an investigation at the scene.

Neumann was charged with felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon (his car), misdemeanor charges of disobeying an officer and driving without a valid license, as well as violations of reckless driving, not staying in the correct lane, and driving without a proper tail lamp or reflector.

He was released on a promise to return to court. Neumann is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, Dec. 12, in Concord District Court.
