LACONIA — A Barnstead man has been indicted on multiple sexual assault charges.
William J. Bergeron was indicted on three counts of domestic violence aggravated felonious sexual assault involving force and/or violence.
The indictments were returned by the latest session of the special multi-county grand jury in Concord which heard evidence presented by the Belknap County Attorney’s Office.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt. Rather, it is a finding by a grand jury that there is enough evidence of an alleged crime to warrant bringing the case to trial.
The sexual assault indictments charge Bergeron, 52, of Holmes Road, in Barnstead, with resorting to physical force, and physical violence, and using superior physical strength while engaged in various sexual acts with the 46-year-old victim.
Bergeron was also indicted on two counts of domestic violence second-degree assault for allegedly strangling the victim.
Others indicted were:
Matthew Gibson, 31, of Old Follette Road, in Meredith, was indicted on a charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault, and a charge of sexual assault, both against a 14-year-old boy.
Luke Heal, 36, of Main Street, in Plymouth, was indicted on four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. One of the indictments alleges Heal used force or violence against the victim, while the three other indictments allege that Heal persisted in his actions despite the victim’s objections.
Christian Laroche, 26, of Ridge Road, in Deerfield, was indicted on a charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault. The indictment alleges that Laroche repeatedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old between February 2017 and August 2017 in Laconia.
Justin Washburn, 31, of Dyer Street, in Laconia, was indicted on a charge of armed robbery. The charge stems from a holdup at the Laconia Spa last Nov. 21, when he allegedly threatened to shoot the store clerk if the clerk did not give him money.
Alfredo Alvear, 64, of Jewett Farm Road, in Alton, was indicted on charges of domestic violence second-degree assault, and false imprisonment.
Nicholas Blake, 27, of Plummer Hill Road, in Belmont, was indicted on a charge of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon — a glass bottle.
Joseph T. Bowie, 38, of Cliff Road, in Danbury, was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking. The indictment alleged Bowie left Lowe’s in Tilton without paying for power tools, a knife sharpener, and flashlights.
Jonathan Ellinger, 50, no fixed address, was indicted on a charge of second-degree assault.
Cheryl Elliott, 60, of West Road, in Canterbury, was indicted for driving after having been certified an habitual offender.
Janet Flynn, 47, of West Bow Street, in Franklin, was indicted on a charge of driving after having been certified as an habitual offender.
Mark Fuller, 37, of Weeks Road, in Sanbornton, was indicted on a charge of driving after having been certified as an habitual offender.
Anthony Gasper, 30, of Sagamore Street, in Northfield, was indicted on a charge of driving after having been certified as an habitual offender.
Bonnie Gilbert, 45, of Evergreen Avenue, in Franklin, was indicted on a charge of domestic violence second-degree assault.
Jennifer Howell, 39, of Central Street, in Farmington, was indicted on a charge of second-degree assault against an 8-month-old child, and a charge of endangering the welfare of a child for failing to take the child for medical care after the child was injured.
Gina Knott, 37, of Blueberry Lane, in Laconia, was indicted on a charge of domestic violence criminal threatening.
Katelyn M.J. Lewis, 36, of Tilton Avenue, in Laconia was indicted on three counts of receiving stolen property. According to the indictments, Lewis is alleged to have had possession of a new Toyota Camry, firearms, and dealer plates.
Joseph Maguire, 26, of Carpenter Park Road, in Plymouth, was indicted on two counts of taking a gun from a law enforcement officer, and a charge of resisting arrest. The indictments allege Maguire attempted to take the guns from two on-duty Tilton police officers.
Aaron Marchione, 29, of Parsonage Drive, in Laconia, was indicted on a charge of burglary.
Janelle Martinez, 48, of Sargent Place, in Gilford, was indicted on six counts of theft by deception. The indictments allege Martinez, using a self-checkout register at Lowe’s in Gilford, failed to scan some items and swapped the bar codes with lower-priced items.
Crystal M. Merchant, 37, of Bishop Road, in Belmont, was indicted on a charge of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
Jeremy D. Michael, 46, of Beacon Street West, in Laconia, was indicted on charges of attempted first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.
Giovanni Monroe, 40, of Upper Smith Road, in Sanbornton, was indicted on a charge of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
Jordan Newberry, 25, of Meredith Neck Road, in Meredith, was indicted on charges of domestic violence second-degree assault, and criminal mischief.
Dolen Patten, 22, of North Main Street, in Laconia, was indicted on two counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.
Nicole Penly, 28, of Chestnut Street, in Tilton, was indicted on a charge of domestic violence criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.
Miguel Perez, 63, opf Bowman Road, in Alton, was indicted on charges of second-degree assault, and simple assault.
Walter Pigeon, 77, of Pigeon Drive, in Farmington, was indicted on attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault, and two counts of felonious sexual assault. The indictments allege Pigeon fondled an 11-year-old girl.
Mark A. Quinn, 37, of North Main Street, in Laconia, was indicted on six counts of felonious sexual assault. The indictments allege Quinn fondled a 14-year-old girl on three occasions. He was also indicted on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child for giving the same girl marijuana.
Jared C. Riley, 38, of North Main Street, in Laconia, was indicted on a charge of driving after having been certified an habitual offender.
Jesse M. Sampaio, 38, of West Main Street, in Hillsboro, was indicted on charges of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, and driving after having been certified an habitual offender.
Brian Shuman, 28, of Massabesic Street, in Manchester, was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking. The indictment alleges Shuman took several tools from the Home Depot store in Tilton without paying for them.
Ronald Sibley, 76, of Taylor Home Drive, in Laconia, was indicted on a charge of aggravated DWI. The indictment alleges Sibley was intoxicated while driving on Meredith Center Road last July and caused a collision which resulted in serious injuries to another person.
Zachary Stone, 27, of Estates Circle, in Laconia, was indicted on a charge of driving after having been certified an habitual offender.
Richard C. Vashaw, 53, of Pleasant Street, in Meredith, was indicted on charges of domestic violence second-degree assault, and domestic violence criminal threatening.
Adam Wheeler, 56, of Ogden, Utah, was indicted on three counts of forgery of a government instrument. Wheeler is alleged to have forged checks totaling $9,186.31.
Joshua R. Wright, 33, of Redgate Lane, in Meredith, was indicted on two counts of second-degree assault, and two counts of simple assault.
Cody Yale, 24, an inmate at the Belknap County Corrections facility, in Laconia, was indicted on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking.
