LACONIA — One person was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound following reports of a shooting Monday afternoon in downtown Laconia.
The alleged shooter is in custody, according to reports from the scene.
The person transported to the hospital received a gunshot wound to the chest, according to emergency medical technicians who responded to the scene.Â
A neighbor who rendered first aid to the gunshot victim said he heard an argument between two people on a porch on Dixon Street and two people walking by, before hearing a single gunshot.
The shooting occurred in the area of Dixon Street, between Grove and Pine streets.
