The wonderful, welcoming, and whimsical Mister Rogers, along with all of his beloved friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, are returning after a quarter-century hiatus as the gentle television pioneer who became a trusted friend to generations of children launches an official YouTube channel.

For the first time, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood will have a dedicated YouTube channel, 25 years after the beloved children’s series aired its final episode. On June 4, Fred Rogers Productions will launch an online destination that will share the television pioneer’s timeless wisdom, gentle lessons, and enduring legacy with audiences both old and new.

From Fred Rogers Productions and Little Dot, the new YouTube channel will bring Fred Rogers’s timeless messages of kindness, community, and curiosity and wonder about the world to new and longtime fans worldwide. Debuting with the very first Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood episode that premiered in 1968, the channel will offer full-length episodes, as well as clips, compilations, livestreams, and more.

“With its timeless messages of care and kindness, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood is as relevant now as when it first aired. We’re excited to make the series more available for families and fans with this official YouTube destination,” said Ellen Doherty, chief creative officer and executive producer, Fred Rogers Productions. “We think parents will connect with the authenticity of Fred Rogers’ messages. He was someone who really understood the big feelings and big questions of children—and of their grown-ups.”

Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood aired from 1968 to 2001, with its final original episode premiering 25 years ago. Fred Rogers created and hosted all 895 episodes, composed more than 200 songs, and brought 14 puppet characters to life. More than that, he revolutionized children’s television, helping generations better understand and appreciate the emotional lives of young children.
