The Crown‘s Peter Morgan is teaming up with Netflix once again, this time for an adaptation of Ira Levin’s 1976 novel, The Boys From Brazil.

No premiere date for The Boys From Brazil has been announced at this time, but Netflix has revealed that the limited series will be presented in five parts. Filming for the series is set to begin in December 2025, with shooting locations in the United Kingdom, Germany, Bulgaria, and Spain.
Who stars in The Boys From Brazil?
Jeremy Strong has been cast to play Yakov Liebermann alongside August Diehl as Johann-Friedrich Meinhardt. Meanwhile, Daniel Brühl will tackle the role of Von Harteneck, and Gillian Anderson is set to feature as Frieda Steiner. Shira Haas will star as Anna Koehler, and Lizzy Caplan has been cast as Hannah Liebermann.

What is The Boys From Brazil about?
As mentioned above, The Boys From Brazil is based on the book by Ira Levin, and the story is set over three decades, ranging from the aftermath of World War II to the turbulent 1970s, as it tracks Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter Yakov Liebermann in his pursuit to bring Nazi fugitives to justice. When one of his protégées working undercover in Brazil learns of a shocking Nazi plan, Liebermann must race against time to expose the truth that the sadistic Nazi scientist Doctor Johann-Friedrich Meinhardt, who was believed long-dead, is actually alive and orchestrating the rise of the Fourth Reich.

The Boys From Brazil executive producer Suzanne Mackie shared with Netflix’s Tudum, “Building on his extraordinary work with The Crown, Peter [Morgan] continues to examine the political and emotional forces which, through the 20th century, have molded the world we live in today. That he does so via the intimate human stories within the sweep of history makes his storytelling powerfully relatable.”

As mentioned above, Morgan Peter will helm the limited series adaptation, executive producing the show with director Alex Gabassi, Suzanne Mackie, and Simon Heath.
