After introducing moviegoing audiences to a 1930s film noir take on Marvel’s most famous web-slinger in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Nicolas Cage is bringing the hard-boiled superhero gumshoe to the small screen in the new series Spider-Noir.
The screen legend brings his signature “mega-acting” to Prime Video in a new Marvel series, based on the original comic created by writers David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and artist Carmine Di Giandomenico. Introduced to a wider audience in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Cage’s Spider-Noir became a fan-favorite thanks to his pulpy, hard-boiled edge given to him by the actor, standing in stark contrast to more traditional versions of the hero.
So what else is there to know about Spider-Noir? Here’s a look.
When does Spider-Noir premiere?
The live-action Spider-Noir series, starring Nicolas Cage, will consist of eight episodes. The series is expected to drop all episodes at once as a binge release on Prime Video on May 27, 2026, following a premiere of the first episode on MGM+ on May 25, 2026.

Guest-starring in the show are Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

Popoola takes on Tombstone in an interpretation that “links the classic character to a grounded story,” while Caldwell will portray the electrifying Megawatt/Dirk.
