FX will continue the story of Snowfall with a new spinoff series from acclaimed producer Malcolm Spellman. Who will star in The Drop: A Snowfall Saga?
Gail Bean will reprise her role as Wanda and Isaiah John as Leon. They will star along with Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith, and Simmie “Buddy” Sims III.
Joining the series regulars are Mykelti Williamson, Nicki Micheaux, Brandon Mychal Smith, Isidora Goreshter, Eric Balfour, Richard Portnow, Zaire Adams, Demetrius Grosse, and Quincy Chad, who also returns from Snowfall.
What was Snowfall about?
Snowfall was a crime drama series set in ’80s Los Angeles that chronicled the explosive rise of the crack epidemic and its devastating impact on South Central communities. It primarily followed Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), a young entrepreneur who built a massive drug empire.
In the show, Leon is Franklin’s loyal best friend and one of the core enforcers of his drug empire, while Wanda is Leon’s partner and a former addict whose story follows her redemptive arc.
