Sharon Stone just revealed that Robert De Niro is the “best kisser in the business.”
During a Wednesday, April 1 interview for SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Stone, 68, didn’t hold back with her review of locking lips with De Niro, 82, in their 1995 film Casino.
“Oh, my God. He’s the best kisser in the business,” the actress declared, as host Andy Cohen seemed surprised by the revelation. “Really? Is he?” Cohen asked.
“Oh, he kissed me right out of my shoes,” she said with a sigh before recalling the passionate kiss in the Martin Scorsese-directed crime drama film.
In Casino, Stone played a hustler named Ginger McKenna, the love interest of De Niro, who played casino manager Sam “Ace” Rothstein. She recalled the kissing scene with a wistful look, explaining, “We did this scene where I have to go to the bathroom, and because I play this hustler, I get him to give me money to go to the bathroom.”
Stone continued, “He gives me this money, and I look at him like, ‘Really? I think a little more than $50 for the bathroom,’” she added. “And he looks at me and reaches in, and he gives me, like, $100, and then I lean over, and I kiss him.”
Additionally, the Basic Instinct actress confessed that De Niro “knocked me out” with the kiss. “[Scorsese] cut, and he looks at us and he goes, ‘I think we got it, but would you guys like another one?'” she recalled. “And we both looked at him and went, ‘Yeah, I think maybe we need one more.'”
In 2020, Stone echoed these sentiments during a different interview with the Bravo host on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
“Robert De Niro was, for sure, the best kisser,” she said without hesitation. “Maybe it was because I held him in such extraordinary high regard, and it was the pinnacle of the kissing moment for me,” she speculated. “There was so much attached to it. But I was just so madly in love with him.”
To conclude her thoughts on locking lips with the Goodfellas actor, Stone shared, “It was pretty fabulous. I don’t know that I could compare anything else to that. Everything else was kind of meh.”
